Prayer is a first work of a mature believer. Here at New London Alliance Church we are accepting the challenge to be more intentional and focused in our prayer efforts. We realize we need to step up and be the men and women of prayer that Jesus has asked us to be.
"But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him." Mat 6:6-8

Prayers for him and his family are appreciated during this difficult time. Thanks be to God for his loving kindness and mercy! Pain meds are having no effect.
From Kendra Shupp: Steve was admitted to Fisher Titus for overnight observation because his enzymes were elevated, and they needed to make sure nothing else was going on with him. Please continue to pray for us as we try to get things back on track with Steve! He will see a cardiologist tomorrow and may have to have a heart catherization, possible stress test before being released. This has been a scary time for all of us but God continues to teach me to trust Him!
From Gina Baker: pray for my son and his wife (Steven and Malissa Baker). They really could use help in their marriage. Also, I would like them to turn towards the Lord, they sure do need Him!

Please just continue to pray for her, Fred and I and most importantly the Dr. We are trying to stay positive and reminding ourselves that she has the best Healer with her every step of the way! Our poor girl has been through so much in her short years here on earth, but always seems to be so positive and brave. She def. keeps Fred and I positive through all this.
Blake McKee is in the ER getting a special IV and more blood work - which he becomes hysterical about . His temperature has been normal for at least 12 hours now after 4 days of very high temps.
From Donna Jolley: Please pray for my dad. Back in the hospital for the 3rd admittance this month. He has a blood infection that is going to require 2 to 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. I’m hoping we can get him into rehab for this. He is complaining of back pain so they will be doing an MRI to see if it is in his spine. He threw up several times last night and it had blood in it. So tomorrow they will go down into the stomach and look for a bleed. This has been a very trying time for all of us. At 95 I know what his future is and am thankful he is a believer. Pray for Randy and I to do what we have to do. Also my niece Sherri who I asked prayer for passed away from cancer on Friday. She was 52 and leaves behind a son and 2 grandchildren, a brother and a sister.
Baby Madalyn's biopsy results reveal NO CANCER! Praise be to God! He has granted yet ANOTHER miracle for Madalyn! Treatment will remain aggressive, but not be as incredibly intense as originally planned. Thank you for continued prayers that her treatments be effective so she may remain cancer free!

Lois Saponare (Deb Blackburn's mom) is hospitalized at FTMC with pneumonia; she is expected to stay for a few days to ensure the antibiotics and breathing treatments are clearing it up.
From Cynthia Keener: Prayer request for families and members of the Benton Kentucky community. Unaware that the shooting occurred at their school, I spoke with a friend whose children experienced this tragedy first hand. Her family are all safe but are close friends of the deceased little girl’s family. As would be expected, all in the community are heartbroken by the tragedy, children are fearful of returning to school, many are experiencing trauma symptoms and of course, many children are still fighting for their lives. Still, my friend reports Gods hand is pulling the community together and protected so many... Including her family and extended families.
From Kendra Shupp: I got word today from Grace's cardiogram-it can back fine, now she goes in for a pulmonary function test and a chest x-ray.
Elizabeth and Travis Reitz: Travis has had problems with asthma for the last week and a half; Elizabeth has a number of health issues and the doctors are not coming up with any solutions; she is very frustrated.
Jan. 23 2018
Madalyn did well in surgery Monday to obtain multiple tissue samples for biopsy, where the results won't be available for a few days and her care team cautiously decided in rounds this morning at Cincinnati Children's to allow Madalyn to come home for a few days for a temporary reprieve until the biopsy results are available and a specific care plan can be achieved. She is healing remarkably well from surgery, her airway is now better than it's been in a couple of weeks, and she's more active than anticipated. I pray from the depths of my heart We also pray that the transplanted liver will continue to tolerate current lymph system problems, and that it may actually thrive and that this is a horrendous bacterial infection in Madalyn's already immune compromised body, as opposed to being cancerous.
From Kendra Shupp: Gracie is experiencing some issues that are being looked into! She had a cardiogram done on Friday 1/19.
Mitch Jason was hospitalized in Norwalk Saturday afternoon with flu symptoms but he has an irregular heartbeat also; they will keep him at least another day.
